Was having contractions last night again, but they tapered off when I went to bed. We still have lots of you still in the running for the baby game! I see alot of overdue dates, too, so hopefully we'll be covered. I thought for sure with Kenzie being 10 days late and Katie being 3 days early, he would be even earlier, but what do I know?! Tom thinks it'll be tomorrow or Thursday. REALLY hoping I'll wake up fresh in the morning with contractions starting and know it's time to go. At night, I'm just so tired - I'd be ready to do it in the am. I just love not being in control (insert sarcasm here).
Speaking of sarcasm, Kenzie is just fascinated by this concept and has been calling me out on it several times a day. I am a very sarcastic person and every other phrase out of my mouth seems to have that tone.
Kenzie: "Mom, Katie spit in my face so I spit back in hers."
Mom: NICE!
Kenzie: Really? You think that's nice??
Mom: No, Kenzie, it's not nice at all.
Kenzie: Then why did you say it's nice?!
Mom: I was being sarcastic.
Kenzie: What's sarcastic??"
I explain the concept several times a day and she seems to get it, although she doesn't understand why someone would choose to be sarcastic. I really don't need her being sarcastic at her age, so I really should try to stop, although it pains me after all the years of perfecting my craft - LOL!
My new Quick Fill Sets are up in the store and I was able to put together a few layouts with them last week: Family, Mother's Day, and Water lovin. I have 6 more vacation layouts left and I know I can crank out a bunch with some of the other quick fills in the set. There are some really unique designs in this one and my team has been having so much fun working with them - love that.
Thanks for all of the kind words on the pics I posted yesterday :) I had a bunch of questions on my photo setup for the pics of the girls. Tom set up my backdrop about 10 feet from a large wall of windows, set on an angle and I used my cheap white paper roll. So, natural lighting, AV mode at an ISO of 350, I believe. I used my 85mm lens and a bunch of actions afterwards - bxw, sepia tone, overexposure until i got them the way I wanted them.
Oh, and thanks for the tips on the barrels! I've learned that the full size barrels are used for wine/whisky making, rain collection and as garden planters. My hope is to find some full size planter ones locally that I can use as toy storage. My parents are on the lookout and I could have sworn I might have seen them at Menards, although it may have just been the half barrels. They are upwards of $150-200 on the net and shipping is outrageous because they're so heavy.
Ok, off to work on a new kit, maybe scrap something and finish up some real work. TTFN!
